Tier tokens, quest items, and their rewards

Summary

Some World of Warcraft items are handed in for gear, such as tier tokens or quest items exchanged for armor and weapons. Open an item's guild page and look under Related to see exchanges TMB has linked. These links help show reward wishlist demand and match awards; they do not record the actual exchange in the game.

Where can I see the linked items?

Open an item's page in your guild and look for Related. When TMB has the relationship recorded, this section links the item you hand in and its rewards.

For example, a tier token's page can link to the armor pieces available from that token. An armor piece's page can link back to the token.

This depends on TMB's item data. Do not assume that every quest or exchange is linked. Items with similar names or the same equipment slot are not automatically related.

Why does someone appear on a token's wishlist display?

They may have wishlisted one of its rewards rather than the token itself.

For example, Sam puts a tier chest piece at rank 3. If TMB links that chest piece to a token, Sam's wishlist entry can appear when officers inspect demand for the token. This helps them see why Sam wants the drop.

The display combines relevant wishlist entries. It does not replace the chest piece with the token on Sam's saved wishlist or change its rank.

Related reward wishlists can also appear beside the item in the prio editor. The comparison does not automatically give anyone a prio.

Should I wishlist the token or the finished item?

Follow your guild's rules about which item to list. TMB can show linked reward demand, but your guild still decides what it wants players to enter.

Putting a token and its reward on the same wishlist creates separate entries. It does not turn them into one shared rank or a group of interchangeable choices. See Wishlists.

What happens when the token is awarded?

When loot is recorded through Assign Loot, wishlist matching can find a linked token or reward entry. Depending on the form's options, TMB removes the matching entry or keeps it marked Received.

Matching can affect one entry in each numbered wishlist, including lists that are not current. It does not fulfill every related reward or every duplicate within a list. Check the result if a character listed several choices from the same token.

Adding received loot directly on a character has a separate option to mark matching wishlist entries received. It does not use the assignment form's deletion choice.

Do prios use the same matching rules?

No. Automatic prio matching looks for the awarded item itself. It does not use the broader token-and-reward matching used for wishlists.

Do not assume that awarding a token will update a prio recorded against its reward. Review the relevant prios separately. See Prios.

Does TMB record the exchange in the game?

No. Recording a token award records that item as received. It does not create another loot-history award for the armor or quest reward, and it does not confirm that the player handed the item in.

A linked wishlist entry marked received shows the result of TMB's matching. It is not proof that the character obtained or equipped the finished gear.
